Our SSL just held a call with 200 people and to get the audience hyped they asked who was the best firm. Everyone typed EY except one guy who said PwC 😂 And then at the end the speaker (SSL leader) thought he was disconnected and said they’d reach out to the PwC guy because it was unacceptable 😂😂 And then he got mad at the facilitator for not telling him he wasn’t muted 😂 This firm is so petty.

I’ve been working to an unhealthy degree lately. And I’ve been making the excuse that I have a lot of work right now, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m addicted to it. Part of it is anxiety and perfectionism. But my behavior is now actively harmful to myself and starting to harm my marriage.

How do I stop? I’m not talking work-life balance. I mean, how do I say, “I don’t care that the client wants this tomorrow and I’m not close to done, I’m going to sleep tonight”?

Have you had to pull away from them (intentionally or not) or are you just as close? Is the saying “it’s lonely at the top” rung true for you?

The manager said I had to leave the job in 2 days and the company can only play 2 weeks of work. Is it normal how they do that?
