ERP tech consultant at D for 7 years > sr product manager at Amazon > principal product manager at Amazon > Director at Nvidia. Took about 14 years, 36 now, approximately $700k total comp. A few of my colleagues at D are now CIOs making 7 figures. It’s a relatively easy path with good pay and only 40 hours a week of work. Even though lots of people make fun of tech consultants it can definitely open up some nice doors for you.
Wow, well done
Tech program management (from B4 manager) , easy transition , online , no and absolutely not
How is the learning curve? Is tech hard in day to day work
Not sure my move was typical, I was senior manager in big 4 where many of my projects were implementations of certain ServiceNow modules, and I moved into a role at ServiceNow now to do implementations of the same modules. It's actually really refreshing because the role is an individual contributor role, so no expectations on managing or selling. I do not miss big 4 consulting
Transitioned from Big 4 to Tier 2, didn't expect the WLB to be this bad. Get me out!!!
Im also on year 4 of consulting. Pretty tired of it and want to ultimately land at Big Tech.
It’s quite a jump but try moving to little tech first
