Brother makes some great AIOs. I have the MFC-L2700. A few years old but scanning is solid and printing is fast. (sadly no double sided scanning.)

like

Agreed! Brother makes great, inexpensive AIO laser printers. I would recommend the DCP-L2550DW.

like

Following, ideally one with scanning capabilities and available on Amazon

HP9010 all in one printer scanner. Wireless printing. It’s our remote worker standard unit.

Fujitsu scansnap is the best money I’ve ever spent. Scans double-sided with an auto feeder. Had for years now and still works awesome. Makes work from home a breeze. Epson ecotank printers are awesome too. Don’t be a sucker for a cheap printer that uses crazy expensive toner.

like

This. Probably in my top three possessions. Seriously. It is BOMB. Worth it.

like

Good question, I haven’t had a printer ever since I graduated from law school (I mean everybody prints their stuff at the office, right?). I had the cheapest HP all-in-one and it always worked great though.

I wonder if a printer cost is something the firm would expense...

Not the ones I’d be looking to buy 😉

funny

Our firm is transitioning to “paper free.” What do you use a printer for that can’t be done on a computer with multiple screens?

There’s something about paper that makes structure decks and operating agreements seem less overwhelming.

like

The Epson line with the refillable ink tanks has been great so far. Had mine about 8 months and ink still ~half full.

Would recommend xerox workcentre 5675

Brother MFC series. Scans well and I have only changed ink cartridges once in 2 years.

I recently moved from litigation to transactional and am struggling to reach billable targets. In litigation it was no problem hitting 1800+ hours but don’t see how I’m going to come anywhere close to that in a transactional role.

I’m mostly sitting around all day waiting for work that doesn’t take long to complete (though at my desk for 10-12 hours/day). Is this normal? Suggestions on how to keep busy other than asking for work and having good work product?
