After uploading documents in Bosch First Services one week ago, there was no update from them, when I replied to them via mail - They said we will get back to you.Is this sign of getting compensation breakup or they looking for other candidates.I have offer from CGI and only 3 days is remaining to accept. What should I do in this case?As CGI has said if you don't join after accepting offer we will blacklist you.

I’ve worked at two FAANGS, started at 300k as a 4th year out of big law. Steadily grew due to stock growth and job change, so now around 550k (Meta/ FB/ Netflix) as a 9th year. WLB has been infinitely better than big law. Matters will depend on your practice area/ product so hard to say, but generally has been a lot more autonomy vs law firm, and your role feels more impactful than outside counsel. I use them regularly as a hybrid deal lawyer/ product counsel, and they only see such a small part.
Are you full remote or expected to go in)
Comp: on average, 30% less than biglaw tracking YOE.
WLB: almost always significantly better than biglaw but high variability depending on your group and personal approach to managing XFN + manager expectations.
Additional: much more emphasis on managing people expectations/issues, project management, providing practical advice. Much less “law”
Right. Ok that’s fair. So maybe it’s 1:1 with FAANG, except I know it’s much lower for more junior.
Thanks for all the input so far. Are there any roles for real estate lawyers at these companies? Definitely seems like a disadvantage not being in tech/IP/privacy field.
Yes I imagine FAANG doesn’t need too many in-house real estate
