Question for posting on LinkedIn: I have several of my former co-workers from my most recent role as connections on LinkedIn which has in some ways halted me from posted about my current job search and other things currently going on professionally in my life. But, I feel like not posting may also be hurting my chances of getting me in front of some of the right people. What are your thoughts?

Why is being connected to former colleagues preventing you from posting on LinkedIn?

Perhaps Judgement? why not use this forum as a sounding board?

Same question as above. What's the reasoning behind this? Are you embarrassed about them knowing you're unemployed or something? If so, stop thinking like that. No one cares.

Your former colleagues may help you.

Quick question.
I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?

Has optum called employees back mandatorily?

Made a career pivot to another agency. During the interview we talked about how it may start as initially a "step backwards" (pay/benefits) but has potential for more long term growth. First day was yesterday. Had no communication about when or where to show up, sat in an empty office for about half an hour before a couple people finally showed. No phone call or email. Sent an email to the founder, no response. I could easily get my old job back if wanted.

What would you do in this situation?

Thinking about transitioning from advertising (10 years as a copywriter) into public relations. Has anyone in this bowl done that? What types of roles should I be looking for?

I made the switch to in house and omg it’s so slow. I knew it’d be a bit slower than agency but I accomplish less in a month than I used to in a day. Is this how all in house jobs are or has anyone found a faster pace in house gig?
