Quick question: if you are still regularly WFH since the start of the pandemic has your company compensated you in anyway for your home office? (Internet, printer, desk, etc)

I don’t think it would be fair if they reimbursed me. We all have internet connections at home anyway. Did get a nice home set up (desk, monitor, laptop stand, keyboard etc). Saving a ton of money on commute, dogwalking service, $15 Dig Inn lunches etc. Not going to bother to ask my employer to pay for my toilet paper or whatever.

like

Many people live near the offices so commute was never an issue for them. Getting a takeout for lunch is a choice. Others, especially larger households with kids, had to upgrade their internet and pay a lot more a month to make sure the speed is sufficient for multiple people working/studying at home. If you need to set up offices/working spaces for you AND the kids, it might get expensive. I think it’s fair for an employer to reimburse a small amount for buying a desk/chairs.

They shipped me a desk, chair and extra monitor. We already have a work phone with internet data and we were upgraded to unlimited data.

We get $15/month to help pay for internet. Not sure if they were getting their cost info from like, the year 2000 or what.

funnylike

Yes. I think we get $90 maybe every 3 months to go towards internet. We got a $500 health stipend last year that you could put towards home office, workout device (i.e. apple watch), trainer, gym, etc. It was originally $250 and then they doubled it towards the end of the year.

We get $30 a month for internet. Basically my out-of-pocket for upgrading my plan. Nothing else but we don't need printers and were all given out Aeron chairs when they upgraded the furniture 5 years ago or so...

like

Nope but laptop, external monitor, keyboard, etc are company provided.

like

Yes. We got a one time $200 and $50 per quarter for office supplies. Also get WiFi reimbursement for $20 per month.

Not a penny

No, though the law in my state seems to say that they should.

like

Yes, some agencies are definitely breaking state laws. I called one out on it and got a monthly stipend for my phone. As did everyone else I told in the agency. Eventually HR had to tell everyone. Bet the CFO hated me.

They paid for an external monitor.

Got $300 one time payment to expense desk or office chair.

Got a monitor and a work cell phone at my last agency.

No 🥲

No, but in the UK we got tax credits. Not much, only something like £600 for the year, and only in 2020 I think

We gave up to $500 based on needs per team member

Only an external keyboard and mouse. Nothing otherwise.

Yes, $500 (but taxed) last year.

Also, need a very senior writer who's maybe ready to grow into an ACD role.

Minorities strongly encouraged to apply. Slide into my DMs if interested.

Accenture India Employees - (1) How much does job location matter in getting good projects for a fresher(ASE- Lvl 12) ?

I am currently in Entry Level Pool-Bangalore and will be 'Soft Locked' to Bench in a month's time. I wish to change my job location to either Indore in MP(top priority) or to Pune(MH).

(2) Should I wait till I get a project in Bangalore and then change location only if WFH gets over (if that is possible) or change it right now ?
(3) Any idea till when WFH will last? Thanks 🙏

Looking to hire a full-time media buyer. Junior to mid level.

We’re a smaller, specialized agency focusing in performance marketing for corporate innovation and growth stage startups (e.g Cameo, DUDE Products, etc)

You’d work directly with our VP of Growth Marketing and CGO, lots of hands on training.

Ideally in Chicago - we only work in office once a week. Not opposed to out of state remote, but can chat through and see if it’s a mutually fit setup.

DM me or reply if interested!

I still don’t see a ton of agency side media jobs their mostly client side and it seems super competitive given the current state of unemployment. I get everyone is still remote but I feel like things should be getting better on the job front given things have relatively opened up here.

What does everybody expect their agencies to do about COL raises in 2022? Inflation is so crazy right now, do you think your agency will adjust appropriately? The annual inflation rate in the US for the 12 months ending with October 2021 was 6.2%, but I've never seen a COL raise more than 3%.
