I don’t think it would be fair if they reimbursed me. We all have internet connections at home anyway. Did get a nice home set up (desk, monitor, laptop stand, keyboard etc). Saving a ton of money on commute, dogwalking service, $15 Dig Inn lunches etc. Not going to bother to ask my employer to pay for my toilet paper or whatever.
Many people live near the offices so commute was never an issue for them. Getting a takeout for lunch is a choice. Others, especially larger households with kids, had to upgrade their internet and pay a lot more a month to make sure the speed is sufficient for multiple people working/studying at home. If you need to set up offices/working spaces for you AND the kids, it might get expensive. I think it’s fair for an employer to reimburse a small amount for buying a desk/chairs.
They shipped me a desk, chair and extra monitor. We already have a work phone with internet data and we were upgraded to unlimited data.
Those are awesome

Nope, nada.
Nadaaaaaaaaa
Yes - I was given a budget.
33rd street was not :/
Why should they compensate me? I’m saving a ton of money on commute.
IPG Health agency. Got $150.
I work at an Omnicom agency. We can expense up to I think $50 bucks per month for internet, but I don’t really do it because I hate filling out expense reports so much, that I would rather just pay it. I could probably ask for a monitor and Wacom, which I intend to do but haven’t. Of course they wouldn’t be mine. I’ve invested in my own chair, desk etc
$50/month.
Just got a monitor, and laptop
I fill out expense reports for my phone bill since WFH. I use it for work daily, so why not. I also got a bit to use towards an office chair, it wasn’t outright offered I was ballsy and asked for it.
No
We get $100/mo stipend
$500 one time payment and $50/month allowance moving forward.
It's paid out as taxable income if we choose to use it for non-work related purposes. Or we can provide receipts showing that it was used for work-related expenses and then it's non-taxable.
I’m curious are there state laws for this? I haven’t been so fortunate. How do you get your company to compensate you for internet and cell phone?
My company just started a $50/month WFH stipend
No, but they offered up the office if your internet was slow. Seriously.
As of this year, we're now getting $50/mo toward home internet. Just announced.
$0 from Dentsu
Yes. We got $250 early last year to buy office supplies or furniture, and we can expense $50 a month to help pay for internet. They also give us monitors if we want. At one point they also gave us $100 to buy something to help either our physical or mental health. You could put that money to stuff like running shoes or an online membership to a yoga studio or something.
My agency let us expense up to $100 for office equipment, plus borrow what we need if were near an office already. In addition, we get an extra $25 a month added to our paychecks for our internet reimbursement.
