it still isn't clear if Fiji actually hired her, cuz there's been a lot of back and forth between her and the company in lawsuits and whatnot. I don't know if it was a beautiful mistake for Fiji, or if the model is lying that she wasn't hired to do it. Love to see if anyone here has more details. This is from a long time ago so I wouldn't be surprised if no one remembers.

Seems like the lawsuit was more focused on the use of her likeness after the fact, not for the event itself. I had completely forgotten about this! Nothing happens by accident out there. Tons of planning and coordinating. Nothing comes to mind lately. A lot of the ‘high-profile’ events are extremely disconnected for the regular consumer now, more than the usual, anyway.
