Ive always had luck with Facebook. It just takes some scouting and FaceTimes to make sure you find the right person. I also like Hotpads.com for apt searching, as it lists what’s new to market and also lists apartments with an available room for rent. If you’re lucky you’ll find someone that already has a lease and is just looking for a roommate, and that’ll likely keep your rent low. Signing new these days is crazy $$$
You can try going onto neighbourhood Facebook groups and asking if there’s any recommended places for rent. For example, if you really want to move to University Heights or Hillcrest, you can go onto those Facebook groups and ask. But Facebook marketplace and Trulia and always been places I’ve looked. Good luck!
Has anyone found luck with apartments.com or Zillow?
My buddy is looking for a roommate as well. Hmu if you’re interested
Might be in the same situation here soon… likely moving out from my bf in the next few weeks. FB has had a few good leads so far and so has hotpads
Sorry to hear that PM1. Feel free to DM me if you want to vent :)
I'd start with your circle of friends and local professional network. that way you'll at least *sort of* know the person you'll be living with. If you don't have luck there, I'd go with Facebook. At least then you can view the person's profile for red flags.
