Sounds like a question for your doctor honestly, they should be able to tell you.
I’ll definitely confirm with my doctor but trying to get a sense before I start the scheduling process. Since I’m not currently an “active” patient there is not an easy way to reach out to my doctor for quick questions like this.
I was told to act pregnant (no alcohol, etc) while taking meds prior to my transfer. Especially because you’re typically only taking the meds based on the number of days your embryo is so it’s not that crazy
Thanks, that’s helpful! I must have been on a different protocol with my prior transfers because I was on meds for ~4 weeks prior to transfer.
Alcohol is so inflammatory to your whole body… why would you want to have any so close to your transfer?
I think it is at transfer… but i personally stopped about 6 months before (granted this was a decision not only due to IVF)
Listen to the Huberman podcast on alcohol
Best to ask your clinic but i don’t think few glasses of champagne will impact anything.
I would have a few drinks pre transfer without worrying, but I wouldn’t get drunk. The alcohol won’t hurt the embryo (which is not even close to implanting), but too much of it will make you feel like crap at a time when you want to feel your best.
Have fun!
