Serious question, but are services considered imports? If yes, would they be subject to tariffs? If no, then they should be.
I only say this because while most people in America would not want to work in factories screwing nails into iPhones, there are people who would be willing to work in back office, I.T. Or even at call centers.
A lot of financial firms outsource this work and there are plenty of Americans who have lost their jobs due to this.

No

Some of the tarffs target services like IT

This came up in discussions of the inane formula the White House put out when announcing the tariffs. The formula was focused on trade deficit numbers, but only included goods, not services. So even if you accepted the gaslighting about the formula, the numbers didn't reflect reality.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.

As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
