Hello Verizon fellows, In Deloitte, there's a facility to claim a certain reimbursement for purchasing mobile devices through their portal or something. Similarly, do VDSI employees have any discounts or reimbursement for purchasing devices through Verizon? If so, kindly let me know how to check it out. Thanks in advance.

Finally left TCS last week and feel the most happiest person ever.TCS was my 4th organisation and I had joined TCS to settle for long term but after 1 year I realised this is the worst organisation one can be with.No first year hike for laterals, no support provided to hard working dedicated employees, only support and leaves are gifted to employees who do nothing and know nothing except dodging work and getting escalations from clients.Forced wfo, forced completion of useless trainings etc.
What is your go to drink after work?
Can anyone give an opinion about joining Cognizant Bangalore now ? I have 1.8 YoE and they are offering a pretty good hike but I have heard news like there's managerial changes happening rn and many people are leaving the firm. Your opiniors will greatly help me in making a career decision.

What about a broader dependent care umbrella? Lots of people are and more will be helping care for adults in their lives. Benefit could be used to defray some of thr cost of assisted living, adult daycare, in home care, overnight nurses, etc.

Definitely a benefit that needs to be talked about more
I think childcare benefits are a great thing to offer. I appreciate the consideration of inclusivity, but I don’t think every benefit has to be equally used.

Agree - I almost wish orgs shared which benefits were used the most. I would love if you could create your own benefits package.

I’d appreciate childcare support if it’s offered, but I don’t think companies should be expected to solve every personal challenge under the umbrella of benefits.
I'd love it if it was. My monthly daycare payments are almost the same as our mortgage payments. It's insane. For the people without kids, I'd say pet insurance or something like that would be a good alternative option. Not quite the same, but still a nice perk. And another one I wish I had having just paid an insane amount to have my German shepherd's torn ACL fixed 😭
There is the child and dependent care credit, some benefit on the tax side. Good shout about an inclusive benefit. So many benefits that most can’t even use. I’d say some kind of stipend that allows everyone to set their own priority.
