Should I ask for a raise — or is it the wrong time? I’ve been at my org for 10 months. Since then there’s been a reorg and I’m now responsible for 2 more products than when I started. Naturally, I’m thinking about whether I should ask for a raise to reflect the added scope.

The complication is that they recently offshored 3 PM roles, so I’m concerned that raising the question might put my role on the radar for offshoring as well.

With product design questions, I struggle to identify user groups. Once I do everything starts flowing and I’m confident. But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this? For example, the question “design a podcasting app for truck drivers.” What types of truck drivers can I select so that I can prioritize a user group to focus on and begin identification of pain points and solutions?
