Should we really be worried about the cost of the Grand Prix? The media is really hyping up the increasing costs of the event, but you never hear them talking about the cost of the AO. What's the big deal?

If the stock market were to tank, incl. all these ridiculous tech valuations, how do you guys think compensation packages will move in competitive fields such as IBD, consulting, big tech?

Based on current environments, I’ve two hypotheses:
1. Comp packages in competitive fields will continue strongly due to: a. less supply of top talent (great resignation), b. less willingness to work demanding jobs (push for wlb), and c. Rising living costs - inflation
2. Comp packages will get readjusted…

Foreign LLM student here. I plan to take the NY bar exam in February. I’m thinking of taking a bar prep course (most likely Barbri). They offer two options: the “traditional” course (which lasts around 2.5 months) and an extended 6-month course. The difference in price is substantial – 2.5k for the traditional course vs 6k for the extended one. Any thoughts/recommendations on which one I should take? I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.
