Someone send this to my C that did me dirty in front of the client.
Called you out?
If I thought my fear of imposter syndrome was bad before, the rockstar SCs that have been working "for me" this past year have really made me question if I'm useful at all anymore.
To my SM/Partner colleagues, don't let it go unrecognized. Champion these rockstars. Coach and mentor them. And reward them. Most importantly, just make sure they know you actually appreciate them. (And don't take advantage of how amazing they are... Share the load.)
Very sorry to hear that, SC2, but I understand. This is why it is incumbent upon those of us in leadership positions to recognize outstanding work and make extraordinary efforts to shape careers, not just tell people how to do their jobs. If you do good work but still aren't happy, we are failing.

In the meanwhile .....

“Client vitriol”
so vague, but at the same time everyone knows what is meant by this
I wonder how many even realise that there are people looking out for them as much as they can. I hear so many complains but never heard anyone being grateful

The best ones always seem to leave though because they get much better gigs elsewhere 🥺

Creepy partners, eh?
Where’s the meme showing consultant getting thrown under the bus/ being used as a shield to protect the senior ppl? That’s my team!
been there done that but never got recognized. Changed that when I got promoted. Wish all leaders actually vocally and verbally recognize these efforts and support the promotions ethically without putting useless doubts during round table.
Yea, development and true leadership is not prioritized these days. All about meeting quotas and short term $$
I had an awesome boss for 4 or 5 years. He’s philosophy seemed to be to let me do whatever the fuck I want as long as I’m billing hours, and the client is happy. He filtered and shielded a ton of shit for me over the years. Then a few months ago he took a promotion and ghosted me.
