I think most companies are posting fake jobs to be honest. Think about it. They post on the internet, which I’m assuming it’s free. They can create lots of jobs to make it look like they are doing well and have “so many opportunities” - unfortunately this country has become like a third world corrupt country where you get the position if you know someone working there, not based on your own merit. I stopped trying long time ago. Job searching is exhausting because it makes you feel devalued trying to prove yourself over and over to others that will never recognize what you’re really capable of. I had to tell myself I’m not the problem, it’s them. It’s their loss. Companies (specially big ones) are designed to keep you doing this one particular task and not move you from there so professional growth is limited if not impossible. Why? cuz it disrupts the workflow. I got tired at the bureaucracy and the higher ups making more doing less and us stressing and working like restless ants at the bottom barely getting by with low paying salaries. What keeps me going? I decided long ago to be an average in my company, to no longer proof my success to anyone. I got content with knowing my own worth. I realized they will never see what I have to offer so I redirected my attention and energy to start building my own company. It’s on a different area but I have been hustling working my 9-5 during the day and building my company after work. It’s been exhausting but what keeps me going is knowing the pain of staying and never expanding nor utilizing my full potential (and get a decent pay that matches what I can bring to the table) is worst than the pain of being tired from working all the time. I’m hoping I can quit this year but with this government right now, things are kinda scary. I suggest you start building something for yourself besides job hunting if you can. I think it’ll make you feel better and you’ll regain your confidence.
So true! I have 5 years of experience in Finance at Amazon but now I have been looking for a new job for 5 months and no positive feedback.
The one thing that is keeping me going, is knowing that I’m not going to get anywhere if I don’t keep trying. Although I have really had a hard time lately. It feels like an endless cycle of job searching, applying, *maybe* hearing something back, but ultimately it doesn’t go anymore. It is hard.
It took me 11 months and I just landed a great opportunity. I could not get into places where I was doing the job. It is definitely a different market out there. The thing that one needs to do is really do a lot more than just the job. You can do more, you just have to do more than that more.
Please check your cv as my gut is saying there is something that is either instantly triggering them as a 'risk'flag or are there any gaps in your cv? If yes that can be also an issue. I also was trying to look for work for months and i feel your pain. It sucks terribly until a recruiter found gaps in my cv. Also a change in strategy can help. As soon as you apply for jobs, call them and give them a blurb about you. They will either like you or dislike you. This hardly anyone does and puts you ahead in the queue and can definitely change things.
Also send a cover letter in customised to each job. Chatgpt is your friend. Are you also asking for too much ?Check whats a reasonable salary for that job. All this can make a difference. Good luck!
Keep your head up and something will turn up. My company is hiring. If you are in wealth management, and interested, DM me.
I would love to reach out though my experience is WM Marketing.
Same for me it’s been seven months. We just have to keep our heads up and try to change our strategy. Something will turn up,
