Haha thank you!
I don’t think it’s weird. Sometimes that’s the only time it’s quiet and you have your best thoughts when no one else is around!

So true! Feel way more calm and productive
I would do the same if I couldn’t get back to sleep. And also you can always take a midday nap if you can swing it. I did during my third. I’m currently 9 weeks postpartum.
Well, pre-Industrial revolution, that’s what all people did! You’re cool. If that works for you, I say go for it.
I’m doing the same thing. It makes me less anxious knowing I’ve started work and I can sleep it to whenever I want. And I’m also wide awake at 4 or 5 am so why not.

Thank you all! I’ve been feeling guilty to have that inclination to work, when everyone is telling me to “take it easy” and “relax.” Truth is it relaxes me to work in the middle of the night without distractions and I wake up the next day and can enjoy a longer breakfast and me time, because I already knocked out 2 hours before 🥳
Thank you for validating this feeling! 🙏
The only thing I would add is that maybe you “send later” your emails. I’m with you where I was working in the middle of the night when I was feeding baby/pumping and such because it was a nice quiet time....but later found that getting emails from me at 4 am sometimes stressed out my team thinking they needed to be up at all hours of the day. So I learned to do my work and respond to emails but scheduled them to be sent at like 8 or 9 am instead.
Absolutely great advice. Please no one send emails in the middle of the night. That is setting a precedent and will give others anxiety to the max.
