So I recently brought a large vehicle a year ago that burns 93 and now gas prices are up due to the war. How long do you think this will last? Should I be looking for another vehicle?

Ooooofffff. Timing could not be worse. That said, you bought it because you like the vehicle. I wouldn't ditch it just because of this. I think - and hope - this will all resolve soon, instead of turning into another perpetual war in the Middle East.

Yes I def love it and it fits my family if 5 good for sure. I actually could use something a bit bigger but this will work.

I think it's just a better idea in general. You don't want to be literally burning money and having your expenses dictated by geopolitics that much. I mean, we're all affected, but there are ways you can reduce the impact on your finances. I recently bought an EV for that exact reason.

If you go back 2000 years, peace has eluded the Middle East for the most part. Besides In the last 25 years gas prices have gone up and come down. It’s a minor bump when all things are considered over a long period of life. My advice, do a financial audit or speak with a financial expert.

I don’t think I can ever do EV unless I was made to do so. I do they have power because I need that?

i have had my 93 gas car for about 6 years. Gas was high when i bought it and I still wouldn't get rid of it. I make sure I use my gas card on days when I get extra discounts and only fill up then. It is good on gas and to be honest it gets better gas mileage than my work hybrid.

first call with SF CSG Recruiter is scheduled for Senior Architect role. Appreciate insights from you all.
1. How is work life balance in CSG?
2. What is the typical billability target? Does one have to market oneself for billability or the Practice lead takes care of it?
3. Honestly- I have seen SF people pushing for products which are really not needed by clients. I can never do such a thing - so is there an expectation from the AE’s that Architects should do so?

Hi Guys,

After my HR round today, Hr called up and said that will move forward with the offer but approvals with higher management might take some time as there is a hiring freeze.
Do you think offer will be released? And how much time these approvals take ?

She mentioned at the end that they are definitely going to offer as all feedbacks are positive.
But it all depends on the approvals.

Made a career pivot to another agency. During the interview we talked about how it may start as initially a "step backwards" (pay/benefits) but has potential for more long term growth. First day was yesterday. Had no communication about when or where to show up, sat in an empty office for about half an hour before a couple people finally showed. No phone call or email. Sent an email to the founder, no response. I could easily get my old job back if wanted.

What would you do in this situation?
