So I’m training my counterpart in India to do a similar role to what I’m doing now. I’m assured of a promotion in the next 3 months but they just stopped hiring my position in the US. I feel like I should be safe and the plan towards how my responsibilities should change seem solid and logical, but a million people have said that before getting laid off. Feels like shit. Looking for advice.

Hi all, I’m due to start in KPMG’s Enterprise Advisory practice as a graduate relatively soon. With all the talk about exit opps and lateral hires, I just wanted to ask how working in the Enterprise division (mid-market/private clients) will affect my future job options, be it positively or negatively, as opposed to working in a main division with public clients?

Work in expert networking and like my role, not my dream industry and not great work life balance. I am conflicted on applying for a promotion to be a manager vs switching into another field and moving out of NYC.
