Hi Everyone !!!
This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.
I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?
Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

I am in leadership and this is the narrative from leadership. It doesn’t matter what the truth is, they believe RTO is better and all opposing views are just shut down. I quoted a Harvard study that showed that remote work had no bearing on productivity and it went down like a lead balloon. It’s just a generational mindset. Sorry. I tried.

I don't even think they believe it's better. The suffering is the point. Make it feel like "real work."
The people who like RTO are usually:
- leadership, who like seeing “butts in seats” and like being able to ask their subordinates for updates directly
- have children at home, so coming into the office means less disruption and a “focused” environment
- social butterflies who thrive on “FaceTime” with other humans
- are boomers who struggle with technology and don’t understand how technology can help their lives
People with kids, assuming the kids are old enough for daycare/school, overwhelmingly prefer to avoid the commute as much as possible. Instead of commuting you can fold laundry. Instead of commuting you can go pick up your kid from school or daycare at a reasonable time. The truth is… more office time leads to more outsourced parenting (paying people to raise your child) and more chaos at home. If you have kids and like to actually raise them you know what I’m talking about. If you have kids and have a pile of laundry on a chair and it’s been there for five days driving you nuts you know what I’m talking about. Working and being a parent is not about slacking it’s about the constant worry of failing to do everything at work and at home that you need to do.

You should've responded, "are those people in the room with us?"

Well I'm still WFH so the answer would definitely have been no.
and tomorrow they will tell you that people are really liking AI
I would be fine with it if I got to do in-person work. Instead, my whole team is hundreds, if not thousands of miles away and I'm still required to go in three days a week. Needless to say an awful use of my time.

Yeah, that makes no sense at all. You're just working remotely from a different place.
Yeah, I love walking around the office looking for a room so I can hop on a call with people who ate in other rooms
We just got a RTO - the masses are absolutely not happy
No no no also no

Gaslighting
Those people are ass kissers 🤣🤣🤣 and lying lol. My favorite one is…”oh I miss seeing all of my friends every day”. Hahaha. Girl bye ✌🏽.
See them on Teams!!!
Did they say that Santa exists also in the meeting?

Ironically, he'll actually be working from home this year.
I get so much less done. We hotel our desks, so there’s 10 minutes setting up/breaking down. I probably lose an hour a day chatting. Plus another hour commuting. There have been moments where I solved a problem faster or had a better brainstorm sesdion. I’ll begrudgingly admit that.
I’m a fan of it 3 times a week. Especially on days when I’m busy but not too busy that I don’t have time for the commute.
I m ok with it when the rest of the team shows up, but most days most of the team WFH
LOL not a chance
No. That is gaslighting to the highest degree. I lead a large team, and if given the ability, most of them would work from home, most of the time. People are very clear with their feedback on the topic; there is no ambiguity. No one. Literally, no one has expressed their desire to work in the office or that they really benefit from it.
Lazy hermits who want to spend the day walking their dog and watching TV in the comments 🤣 We are in a relationship driven industry folks. RTO works. You can do it 3 days a week.
Honest question: is the rest of your team in your office/city?
Call me loopy but I’ve done both WFH and RTO and I love working in office. I also have 2 kids under 3 so yeah
Do you have people in the office you work in person with when you go?
The agencies that prefer RTO are only going to employ someone who wants to RTO. Therefore the agencies who mandate RTO will be full of staff who prefer it that way.
The view that people prefer it that way is totally biased.
