Soda is in the news. Or pop, depending on where you were raised. Given that product’s history of marketing in Black and Latino communities in particular, what kinds of shifts in tactic do you anticipate seeing in coming years? (I’m already seeing a surge in fizzy drinks using tropical fruit flavors and blends popular in Latin America, but with no real Latino involvement beyond the flavors, for instance).

I think you pose an interesting question. If soda in general is seeing a downturn as customers look to more healthier options, it would speak volumes to me if the companies then decide to focus on Black and Brown customers. That would be an interesting and troubling signal to me because now they’d be ok with focusing on people of color in their marketing. Then what did they think of us in marketing before?
Wow I have to be honest I am kind of surprised that they are losing steam in America. Though I will say Coke Zero in other countries is the best one you will ever have.
