Absolutely, there's a balance to be struck between acknowledging your weaknesses and celebrating your strengths. Focusing solely on weaknesses can indeed take a toll on your confidence. It's important to recognize your accomplishments and the things you excel at. Celebrating your successes can boost your confidence and motivate you to continue improving in areas where you may have weaknesses. Finding this balance allows for holistic personal growth while maintaining a positive self-image.
I heard from my therapist that we have to treat ourselves like we would treat our best friend. You would focus on your best friend's weaknesses all the time, but whenever they fail, you would be there to help them realize they are more than their failures and help them get better. Take some time to think about your weaknesses, but when you do that, try to make a plan to get better and be patient with yourself, put some short-term goals, and when someone asks you about them, you will not only know it, but you will also have a plan to overcome it.
BTW, it's easier said than done, I also struggle with that. it's a journey
