Go with United miles and save the chase points for a trip where United doesn’t have a direct flight
So you have CSR which gives 1.5 cpp or CSP which gives 1.25 cpp, meaning the flight is in the ballpark of $675 or $560.
The latter is definitely a bad idea for your United miles (under 1 cpp). If it’s the former, it’s still low imo but could be worth it if you have a lot of UA miles and are concerned for the upcoming award chart removal.
I’d say use the 45K UR points or book in cash. Important to note that both options will count as a revenue fare and earn UA miles/PQM
I don’t remember how much but i remember it was marginal
I agree with D2 for the most part especially if you have a lot of UA miles or think you can earn UA miles faster to replenish. But also what’s the breakout if you do two one-ways? Normally if I can’t decide then I’d price check that a one-way doesn’t hike up the cost that much and you can use half UA and half Chase.
We can’t assume he has the CSR.. sounds like he has the CSP
To clarify, I have CSR
