Started a job at a tech company. People, culture, hours, benefits/pay is great. However, the role is not what I was expecting. It’s junior & administrative/sales oriented. I thought it would be more analytics & strategy based.
Just got another offer for a corporate strategy role. Culture isn’t great, pay/benefits aren’t as good but decent, but I’d learn so much more in the role & it’s a manager title . What do I do? I’m early in my career. I’m happy rn but the role isn’t good career wise

Deciding on a career path

I feel like my brain works like a consultant, and I would enjoy consulting, but I also looove all things finance & investing. While I don’t necessarily have extensive experience in the field (most of what I know is self taught, my major is accounting), I want to get involved in it somehow and learn more.

I currently work in audit, I’m not sure what exit opportunities are an option for me for the investing/finance industry. Feel like chances are are slim. Any advice?

Need help thinking through this…Debating leaving to a tech startup. Very early stage ($3-7M ARR), would have a big role leading strategy and Ops. It’s a cash paycut, which is a bummer but the equity would be pretty good. Just nervous about leaving before hitting the full manager role and taking a paycut in this market to bank on equity. I was interviewed for a perticular customer, which went well and also received an offer. Few days before of my joining date, i came to know that the technology stack from customer got changed and customer had no requirement for which i was hired. However parent company still hired me and now they're in process of allocating me in some other clients. Sometimes i feel insecure about this situation. How to cope up with such cases?
