I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

I think the days of big tech PM leaders hiring PMs from consulting firms who don’t have product exp are done for now.
Ppl are looking for practitioners in this market, not smart generalist. There’s way too many PMs looking for jobs.
Now if product includes product strategy / operations, could be more of a shot.
But someone with product strategy / ops + consulting will still be more competive.
You really need to focus on your pre-BCG experience to make this work. It’s a very challenging needle to thread. Happy to chat.
Product folks don’t like hiring consultants. Especially in this market and with the number of laid off product folks. You’ll need to focus on your startup experience or any dev work.
