When negotiating at a creative agency, if they don’t budge on salary, will I have better luck asking for more relocation $ or a signing bonus? (For a mid-level position)
Need some help: doing taxes and seems I exceeded the comp limit to create a Roth IRA and process a $6k 2020 contribution due to wife’s government unemployment pandemic boosts/extensions. Made trades starting in January ‘21 and portfolio has increased now 10%. Anyone aware of a work around to not get dinged / taxed? If not, I guess I would have to pay premature taxes on the gains (I think just the gains) by taking the money out.... thanks for any thoughts/guidance
Tax work at my law firm is not enough to keep me busy. Maybe I could start doing work in another department to supplement my billable hours. Is anyone here a part timer in another group? I’m thinking investment funds or start ups? Anyone else do this and any advice?
What is the Client Service team like at Wunderman Thompson Seattle? How are the clients and what’s it like working with the overall company? DM is fine if you don’t want to post publicly about it.
Has anyone ever taken a gig from Solomon Page or Creative Circle, and then tried to renegotiate with the agency after a few months to cut them out? Like, at what point do they still deserve to take have for finding you the gig?
Need some advice: Boss and Partner came into town for two days last week. Most people got drunk, I did not, as I had 3 drinks over the 5 hours we were at dinner and then at the cigar bar. Partner just kept saying he missed his family and couldn't wait to get home. Pretty great to see. My Boss, (Senior Manager) made an inappropriate comment which I acted like I didn't hear and then I quickly left after that (I am quite aware I should have firmly put up my boundary right then and there) Next...
senior consultant level at EY in tech transformation PM work - how much will WLB vary by project? Been on the same project for over 2 years with low hours and incredible team culture, but expecting 25%+ raise if I leave D
Any thoughts on Tech role Big4 to Blackrock? Specially cloud , devops and/or AI roles ? Has anyone done it ? How is work and compensation?
Merrill Advisors - I have a client with an account at Merrill and am told that they have a money fund available which insures up to an aggregate of $5,000,000 in FDIC coverage. Is this a CDARs program and they are misinformed or does such a program exist and what is it called? I was told $5mm in coverage with daily liquidity which obviously wouldn’t apply to CDARs. Many thanks!
What is referral bonus for an SM at EY or PwC?
M3 Deloitte Advisory - Base is 135 and 20k bonus last year. Tier 2 city. Am I underpaid?
Retooling as a first year from securities lit to general corporate in silicon valley. What am I in for in terms of billable hours and learning curve? How common are those 7am-12am days/working weekends?
Why are Art Director CDs always the bitchy ones? Almost every one that I’ve had, maybe out of 14 different cd partners, has been the bitchy one when it comes down to really granular and unimportant things vs the bigger ideas. Like it’s a comp and I’m presenting you 6 scripts in the first round, why do you care if it looks like crap the idea is good?
Average total comp for a PE associate?
What is the best consulting firm for public service work? I’ve been at Accenture for a year now since graduating college. To me, the compensation seems very competitive, and there are a fair number of PS clients, but I don’t know how it compares to other firms. Wondering what else is out there in the way of public service/impact consulting.
I was told today by one of the hiring company hr that the market is dipping now.. there will no longer be job opportunities at good Salary ranges for much longer.. is it true ?!
Any f 🐠 in NY/NJ up for a drink tonight? Not looking for anything - just casually hang out as friends. M30. Neurotic about covid measures (I sanitize everything!)
Is KPMG more adversely affected by the downturn? Friends at other big four don’t seem to have as many benefits cut or raises and bonuses eliminated. Are we not as fiscally sound or relevant in the market?
Can you please share the age of your kid(s) and how much you’ve accumulated in their 529s to date?
How much are you putting into your 401k? I’m thinking 10% of my paychecks. About me: 29F, 140K annual salary, company match 6%
I joined B4 after college in 2019 and ever since working as QA, mainly manual/ functional testing. Can't see any progress work wise in same projects/teams. Before job, I wasn't a complete nerd but I did have some sense of programming so I wish to use that in my real life work in future. Can someone suggest how should I use my spare time so as to not be stuck in manual testing or testing itself? I'm somewhat lost when thinking of career progression after maybe next 5 years.
I have a friend who unfortunately was just laid off as a bank teller. He has four years of experience, but has never done consulting. Is this something that he could try his hand at? Or do you think that he should have more experience or certifications under his belt first? Trying to see if he can start as a consultant.
Hi. Does anyone know the policy for reapplying to Deloitte? I failed the preliminary coding interview and I don't know the exact time period to wait before I can reapply for jobs at Deloitte.
Thoughts on the future of Zoom and Nio. Currently making a loss on these holdings. Hold/ Sell?
Thoughts on Prosci or SHRM-SCP certification? Which would be considered more valuable or highly regarded? Currently focused on Change Management but have a HR background (industry experience / area of study in college).
Is it worth staying in consulting to get your green card? Or should I use consulting to go into tech and worry about gaining a different experience over getting a green card?
Everyone: We asked for diversity and visible minorities in this video. This edit shows 90% whites dudes... The producer: The guy in the first shot is latino and there’s also an Irishman and an Australian bro at the end 😑
I posted this on a thread earlier, but in this environment where no one can agree on anything, can we all agree that Avis points are absolute $hit!!!
Incoming MBA student this fall. I was attending an info session where a second year suggested that first years start networking with second years. Is it better to do so via LinkedIn or email? Would these calls just be around their experiences at the school thus far and any questions I may have?
Considering a lateral move from one big law firm to another in the same city as a sixth year. Has anyone in a similar position gotten a signing bonus, and if so, how much?
