Talked to a recruiter at Organic NY... any thoughts on the people/culture, accounts, and work/life balance? Is it really a 💩 show?

I haven’t heard anything good about that place. Had a friend who was a CD there and the day they let him go was the happiest I’d seen him in a long time.

thanks for the input y’all. exactly right; id be given more responsibility and pay. tbh, my current agency’s reputation isn’t much better than Organic’s so makes sense to stick it out for a year, then jump ship if i have to.

I think this also depends on what they’re offering right? Is there a significant pay raise? More responsibility? Better title? I think I’d consider it even if it might be a shit show, you can up and leave in a year right?

I’ve heard the same as CW1 and that work/life balance is great but it is a crap show. They do a lot for AT&T and telecom is 🤮 from my experience. But, like DDB1 said, if it’s better in the background, you can always leave next year. Can you find out what account(s) you’d be on?

I haven't heard the best of things either. I just hired their head of Resource Management if that says anything.

Those who have seen a drastic reduction in their billable hours with no pay cuts, layoffs, furloughs, etc., what have you done to stir up some work and keep yours hours at a reasonable level?

How accurately do you guys charge your billable time? Not asking due to overcharging. Asking because too lazy to keep up.

Anyone else not really have any billable work stuck at home? It's giving me mad to stress to have nothing to do and feel like I'm being judged for this. There is little work and I'm doing trainings

What is the most you’ve spent on Uber/Lyft? Cost me $120 (for UberX!) to get to LGA last night from Manhattan, but I’ve heard of people taking them from NYC-BOS in a pinch.

Laid off from a boutique in SF after a year. Had to move home, no savings, and student loans up the wazoo. I don’t know when I’ll be employed next. Any tips for getting through this dark time?

1) Hourly rates, 2) billable requirements, 3) typical bonus (origination bonus and/or discretionary) for 3-4 year associates in small and mid sized firms in California. Go!

Have hit rock bottom emotionally! Don’t feel motivated at work and feel very dumb in front of peers. High performance culture is not working out for me but can’t afford to give up the paycheck (cont.)
