Still ~$1200 free dollars. Just cancel it once you leave consulting
3x points on restaurants and traveling (uber included) is the main catch for people. Also like 75k or 100k (I forgot the specific number) if you spend a certain amount in the first few months.
I'm getting married so no issues with the minimum spend
There is also the Global Entry fee reimbursement of $100 every 4 years or $25 pa so net annual fee is $125. To recoup that $125 fee a person needs to spend at least $4200 on travel and dining in a year. OR $12500 on everyday spend or some combination. Then there are the other perks - free lounge access (how many times a year do you use a lounge?); 50% bonus when using chase travel; any others? There could be some value here if someone makes this their primary card and stops using other cards in their wallet completely or very sparingly.
This card is for people who travel (like, taking vacation) and is a great way to earn points without actual flying/staying in hotels

I have 1 other capital one card that has been open for 5 years. I had the AA cities card for 11 months but canceled it when the annual fee was almost die
100,000 points if you spend 4K in 3 months. That's almost $1200. Also you get annual $300 travel credit on your account, effectively lowering the rate to $150 a year
Does anyone know how long it will take to receive the card? The email said up to 2 weeks after I was approved....
Ok so I'm planning to leave consulting and won't need the global entry reimbursement. I will spend over $4200 on Travel and dining this year due to my wedding, but I won't most years. I don't care too much about lounge access.
Primary car rental insurance. Most undervalued benefits ever. Also, points transfer to Hyatt, Singapore Airlines, British Airways, United, among others
The signup offer is the main draw. Priority Pass is pretty worthless in the US.
This is definitely some sort of marketing strategy
D4 - does priority pass give access to lounges in the domestic terminal or do their lounges cater to international travelers?
Depends on the airport. You can check on the priority pass website
