Cognizant Recently cognizant have changed their internet wfh allowance policy.we use to get 1800 per month as internet allowance without submitting any bills or transaction details. Now they changed the policy as we need to apply for icici/axis/hdfc credit card from there we need to make the transaction and reimburse the same. Personal opinion/take:
1) No, they shouldn’t, but with ESG being mandated they’ll have no choice. Kneel or go the way of the dodo.
2) No. Their duty is to maximize profit (again, until mandatory ESG kicks in). If hosting content increases profit, then that’s their duty, otherwise not.
3) Agreed, but unfortunately that’s not the way we’re trending. See the preferential treatment afforded to the Taliban vs. the erstwhile President of the US.
Individuals can’t do much. You need a broader society focussed corporate goals. Looks at the banks. Can you do anything against what they want to do ( profit motive) . Without any social focus loansharks thrive!!
Ban comedy!
It’s the inevitable result of the various laws and court cases that establish the fiction of a corporation having a voice and free speech. Customers expect corporations to pick a side and spend their wealth in a way that matches the customer’s ideals. I think we’ll see more of it, not less. I don’t think it’s a good thing.
But ask yourself why is Netflix your tipping point and not Hobby Lobby or Chick Filet?
