Do not go to the HR.
HR works in the interest of the company, If you raise a concern you are a Red Flag at a Big4 atleast!
It's definitely a tricky situation, and I understand your concern about potential repercussions. If your company has a confidential or anonymous feedback system, that might be a safer way to express your concerns. Alternatively, consider discussing it with HR, ensuring your feedback is handled discreetly.
Thanks, I will check to see if it can be submitted anonymously.
I know, this is one of the hardest things in the business world. Speak up and try to genuinely make things better, but then your worried about the fall out from that. I've seen it go both ways.
Exactly my dilemma.
Don't say anything until you're on you way out yourself. I know you feel like you would be helping th company but everyone will just start being passive aggressive against you.
You’re probably right…. but no one cares what a senior has to say in this situation unfortunately.
Either raise it to the offenders directly or stay out of it. Theres zero upside.
Two years ago it may have mattered but in this job market you’ll get a “so what?” from leadership.
What’s your definition of “running people into the ground?”
Yeah it’s the going joke that this partners projects have the world’s worst realization. He bends to the clients every demand.
Ehhh, this is tough. Is the feedback anonymous? Companies say they have an "open door policy" but then throw you under the bus and make your job difficult.
Raise it to his/her skip manager that this behavior is causing the company to lose top talent and no-one wants to work with him/her
I’m going to provide an alternative perspective because the post is a little vague. “Running people into the ground” implies that the partner or director is overwhelming individuals with work. My question is with this additional work, is their added responsibilities and more opportunities to interface with client leadership? If so, I’d look at it as an opportunity to shine and showcase readiness to the next level and perhaps reevaluate the criticism.
