Hi there,
I have joined Amdocs in the first week of May. I am working in afternoon shift and entitled to get the shift allowance. But 2 months salary credited but did not receive any of the shift allowance amount. Can anyone please tell me when Amdocs will credit the shift allowance??

Do you want to see lots of different businesses and work at a fast (sometimes unpredictable) pace? Then go FDD. Or more comfortable seeing one business at a time, possibly for years per business, and work on much longer project timelines? Then go PMI. Have done both, personally find FDD more fun.
I'd go for DDV. Stimulating work and great exit opportunities. As it is a comparably new department, faster career progression as well
I work in M&A consulting. Been exposed to PMI on a a couple projects but now work more aligned with M&A Advisory (sell-side/buy-side financial modeling, comps/precedent analysis etc.).
I would say if you want the Corp Strategy route, go with PMI since you’ll have a much better understanding of operations. For M&A Advisory, go with FDD because you’ll be more aligned with M&A financial fundamentals
I’m not at PWC. But yes M&A is thrown around a lot these days. I’m not familiar with PWC but as far as I know, the DDV does PMI work, great place to be if you’d like to get into PE Ops or Corp Dev at a F500 doing more integration/separation heavy work

PMI seems to align better with your goals.
Post Merger integration is seen as strategic? I always saw pre-close integration planning, synergy assessment, Day 01, Op Model dev, etc. as strategic and post-close as execution. I was approached for a post merge m&a role within consulting (FT) and was hesitant about it as I’ve only ever done pre-close m&a work (was afraid to be bored out of my mind).
D2 thank you for the thoughtful reply. So.. you work pretty normal hours (e.g. less than 65 hours a week on median average)? I didn’t think about that. If it supports solid progression with normal-ish hours as a tradeoff for “interesting work”, I think I can make myself interested.
I’m in DDV now - if you’re interested in diligence work we do that too. Go w PwC.
Personally am in FDD, id say go post merger integration.

I guess it really is all team dependent. My team is great at D and the benefits are much better as well IMO.
You’ll develop a lot faster in PMI, and enjoy the business impact.
PMI - and if you can bridge the gap by intermediating between the FDD team and the more ‘PMO’ type PMI resource, you’ll progress well. At senior levels, also much easier to hit financial metrics in PMI
FDD is all number crunching. If you want to move away that - between your two choices, the answer is clear (NOT FDD). Go with DDV - you’ll build new skills and it will make any further moves into more strategic M&A roles easier.
