There's a growing need for younger advisors especially since the industry is experiencing a shift towards digital technology and hybrid work environments. What do you think about WM roles - are they growing or shrinking? You would think that a career requiring professionals to adapt to new systems and ways of working would have more job openings but I don't see too many.

As a 20+ year lawyer with no big law experience (smaller and mid size firms plus government and in house experience), would a BigLaw firm even consider me? Perhaps an of counsel position? Even a senior associate?

How many firms is too many? I’ve practiced 13 years. Since I was a 1st year associate, every 3 years or so I’ve been recruited for another opportunity that is hard to pass up. I’ve been at my current firm 3 years and got the call again, again about an opportunity that is hard to pass up. I don’t like having a reputation of a flight risk, but this keeps happening. Should I decline to pursue the opportunity just so I have a longer track record at my current firm? This will be my 4th if I move.

My stepmom threw me a very elaborate bridal shower. My stepsister pitched in and also did a lot of work for it. Bridesmaids helped but didn’t do a ton.
