think pay transparency should be the norm, not the exception. It’s wild to me that in 2024, we’re still guessing what our colleagues make or relying on vague salary ranges. At my company, there’s zero transparency, which just fuels office gossip and leaves people wondering if they’re being underpaid. Imagine how much easier it would be to advocate for raises or promotions if we all knew where we stood. I get that it can be uncomfortable, but isn’t that kind of the point? Right so here’s a bit of a dilemma I work to a much higher standard at home and it’s this high standard that means I’m in line for a promotion.
