Stay in development. You’ll become more client facing in the future as you grow in your career but with specialities in your discipline. Account Management sucks. You’re the punching bag for both the client and the internal team, always a schmooze, never the winner, always trying to hit portfolio numbers, and working 24/7 in order to always be available. It’s incredibly difficult and under appreciated. If you just grow as a web developer or Digital Marketer you’ll certainly be client facing soon.

Go client side, become agency-facing, and get paid 2x more.
I wouldn’t give up your speciality to go to a generalist style role... there’s a ton more competition in that job market that makes it harder to crack (and keep advancing in).
