Is it SAFE joining Wipro as technical lead (B3) with 37LPA? Knowing that package is pretty high as compared to collogues in same band. HR is not ready to give project manager(C1) position.
Appreciate your suggestions/input.

It comes with the job. Nothing to negotiate as they can’t legally aks
P1 is right about the technicality.
Also just a correction to my earlier post. Deloitte’s family leave is 4 months not 4 weeks*
I would not tell them you’re pregnant or give any hints of it. The Job might suddenly get defunded and disappear.
I can look into the policy language for you this week, but I *think* you need to be there for 3 months prior to the birth date. From my experience the policy is the policy and cannot be negotiated.
Thank you soo much!!!
Usually maternity leave is based on a minimum time so under a first year you wouldn’t get much. I’d stick with EY and explore leaving during your full leave. There’s no requirement to come back or stay a certain amount of time.
You may want to check the fine print on the firm policy, and negotiate the offer. For example: EY won’t give you the parental leave benefit unless you complete 1 year with the firm.
Also, I believe EY has better maternity / paternity leave policy.
I can’t offer PwC specific info here, but I started with Accenture at ~3 months pregnant. I didn’t disclose to the company, but did disclose to my direct supervisor when offered a project role. No problem with the company or full maternity leave benefits.
I tried to make the move when pregnant. Once you have the offer, ask and negotiate. Some things they can waive (employment requirement to qualify for maternity) and others they can not. (Pregnancy is a pre-existing condition and you can’t get LT disability for 12 months). I ended up delaying my start date and delivered with my old company. I did this to protect my LT disability coverage. PWC waited 6 months for me.
Did you actually use long-term disability? I got 8 weeks short-term disability and 8 weeks parental leave from Accenture after 6 months with the company from start date to delivery
Sister, do what’s right for you.
Stick with EY! I got almost 6 months of maternity leave!
Nah, don’t stick with EY.
