My husband is currently in the same boat after being laid off and this whole experience has tested our strength more than you could imagine. One thing that helps both of us is stepping away from it ALL at least one hour a day. We'll watch a show, go for a walk, cook dinner together... anything that doesn't have to do with his job hunt. Just know, you're not alone and this too shall pass 🙏
Yeah it’s good to disconnect from work entirely when you can, it can be hard though.
Keep in mind, you only need one. Ideally, one worthy of your attributes!
Very true!
Find a job to support yourself in the meantime. Then at least you are making money etc. Focus on your need to find another job.
The job I have now is okay but it’s definitely not where I want to be long term, I can stick it out while I look for something else though.
I know a few people that have been going through the same thing! Maybe set yourself a target for how jobs you apply for per week and when you hit it, do something fun and have a break :)
That’s a good way to do it! I always forget to set goals and just go until I feel burnt out.
When it’s quiet, I shift focus to things I can control, updating my portfolio or starting a small side project. It helps me stay motivated while I wait.
Yeah I used to like to do that when it was quiet but it’s a bit harder to do at my new job.
