This week I started a listen through my entire record collection from front to back. I’ll be doing this on workdays when I am in my home office. Did it a few years ago. Collection has grown a lot since then. But I’m not doing comedy and spoken word this time. Too hard to work to those. I expect it to take 4-6 weeks at least. Depending on how many calls I have.

I rearrange my home office several times a year. Idk why but every 4 months I need to change it up. Anyone else do this?

I’m worry that I still have like 45 years more to be retired and can’t stop working because I have a f* mortgage to pay 😭 I have a super ergonomic workstation, but I know my hand needs a long rest, and I can’t do it… Does anyone relate? Fish fam - quite new to all this and would appreciate your support. if I am based in a high income tax state but work on site in a lower income tax state. Can I claim the paid taxes back from my home state or do I always pay income tax based on where my home office location is?

Best tips for someone who has object permanence issues? If I put something down or away the chances I forget it and never come back to it are at least 50/50. How do you keep your home/office space clutter free without putting things where they'll never be found again? Or I guess how do you remember to go back to them? Help

I’m hoping to find something that’s easy to assemble and break down for when I need to move, and something that won’t cost an arm and a leg.

I’ve been depressed for years now and this past week I lost a dog I’ve had for 15 years; he was one of the only bright spots in my life and I’ve just found it so hard to focus or motivate myself on anything after this. I genuinely feel like I’m at rock bottom, Idk if I’m crazy to feel that way bc of a dog but I used to be able to control this and put up a front but now my depression and anxiety are starting to leak into my work conversations completely unintentionally, I wish this would stop :(

When you meet with a partner for a new assignment. Do you bill for that time? I’m a new associate, so I don’t know. On the one side it seems that meeting and conferring for an assignment requested by the the client would be billable since it’s using firm time and resources. On the other side, we are just talking about how to tackle the assignment and not tackling the assignment itself.

I’m a first year associate and perpetually concerned I’m going to get fired bc I feel like my work product isn’t at the level it should be. Does anyone have an idea of how easy/ hard it is to get fired?
