I have 6 YOE in. Net+Angular and got an offer from Legato Health Technologies with 20 LPA Fixed, i joined Infor just 11 months ago with 12LPA Fixed and i will get the hike in August. If i resign now i will not get hike and i am a critical resource in the project, i guess Infor might try to retain me by matching offer. What should i do? Should i resign ASAP and not negotiate with Infor . I have all these doubts because Infor is a product based company.

Growing firm in the US, but still very much behind the US competitors. Their tech transactions group is strong in Europe, but very minor in the US. Efforts on-going to change that, including imminent expansion into California, but unclear whether that will be successful.
The firm as a whole is throwing a ton of money into US expansion, but unclear how long term such investment will last. The European partners view a strong US presence as a critical to maintaining competition to US firms expanding in Europe, and UK firms expanding in the US (i.e., Freshfields), but there might come a time where their patience grows thin if the growth isn’t showing.
So it really depends on what you value in a firm. Is it potential growth as an attorney/partner? Then it’s a risk to come to a firm that is expanding but not solid (but it could play out very well if all goes right!). If it’s a stable paycheck and coasting, then CC definitely has that. The expansion and desire to not have bad publicity has made them keep people around much longer than they probably should, imo.
Thanks!
Meh.
Expanding, but not really top tier. So far Freshfields is the only UK-based firm that has fully broken out of the magic circle bubble and become a major US powerhouse, but Clifford seems to be on track.
Thanks. I'm trying to get more into UK legal practice (husband is from London), so that's why I'm interested in expanding magic circle firms.
