Honestly, Houston has more strong lit boutiques than Dallas. The Dallas lit boutique market is surprisingly disappointing. I would add Carter Arnett in there as another local lit boutique. Probably a step down (and smaller) then Lynn Pincker but Leon Carter is a great trial attorney and runs a good firm
LPHS is definitely regarded as such
Lynn Pinker, Reese Marketos and Caldwell Cassidy, Reid Collins. 4 in Dallas vs 20 in Houston
RM is also legit^
For boutique firms, yep! Not nearly as many options as Houston. There are other excellent litigation groups at both national firms and TX-based.
For local commercial litigation (i.e. Dallas County and NDTX) they have a strong practice, but not as national. McKool used to also be strong, but has been on the decline. Winston led by Melcheimer has a strong Dallas lit heavy office. Gibson Dunn is also strong (probably the strongest lit practice in town) and more national. I have heard Sidley is also trying to grow their Dallas lit practice, but don't know details.
Forgot McKool but heavy IP lit now
They even lost Mike McKool now. Easily forgettable
Anyone have intel on Burns Charest or Tillotson? I’ve been curious about both.
I don’t think it’s really like Susman Godfrey at all. (Edit: aside from being small and having some former SG lawyers)
If you would consider Houston, placing into Hou lit boutiques is my specialty. Most of my jobs are unposted directly from my contacts at the boutique.
