Don't forget about unemployment, severance, paid out PTO, and any part-time/contract work you may be able to find (though it does reduce your unemployment after a certain amount).
You likely have a much longer runway than 6 months.

Yea I’m basing this all off the assumption the $600/wk is not extended at end of July. I just graduated college and have no debt so really don’t have any committed expenses besides rent.
More so worried that I would be out of work for more than 6-8 months and having start saving all over again.
6 months at current expenses is fine. If unemployment happens, cut down on unnecessary expenses and it's likely to last closer to 8 months+
You can always change your 401K contribution to 100% of your paycheck for a couple cycles later in the year if you get to a better place with your safety net & feel more stable. I’d add more savings, then decide how much more to contribute in, say, October-November. Be sure to make the change with enough time to get the $ moved!
6 months is plenty

6 months is too much. I'm reducing it down to 1 month and DCAing everything slowly until a massive correction (hopefully) where I'll just dump everything in
Reasons:
1) I'm in tax and tax work will never die because it's tax... (Good job security)
2) With my strategy, I can borrow against my 35% of my investments at a 2% rate and pay back whenever I want.
3) I have 18K+ in ROTH IRA contributions and if I leave my firm and transfer to a ROTH IRA, this number would grow to maybe 70K of tax and penalty free contributions? My focus now is fully on bumping up my traditional contributions and taxable investments.
