Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

My spouse works RE at Winstead. Works about 8:30-6:30 with some light work on weekends to get ahead or if a deal is trying to close. Billed 2300 last year but had good work life balance.
IMO, totally possible to bill well and maintain good work/life balance with discipline and priorities in place.
I don’t know the answers to your questions, but I do know a number of people at Winstead in Dallas and they all seem to have lives outside of the office.
A former classmate of mine is in the Real Estate group at Jackson Walker - Dallas and seems to not work much on the weekends. Last I heard (a few years ago), his billing requirement was ~1900 if I remember correctly. He also has said that they don’t foster overworking and tend not to incentivize working much over the billable requirement because they are trying to maintain a work culture that doesn’t work associates into the ground. That’s all secondhand info, but hopefully it helps
