Haven't found a better long term card. CSR seems to be the best, but definitely use promos for other cards to gather initial points.
This is the best long term card you can get. The bonus is at 50k right now (last year it was 100k). This month (10/1) is when 90% of annual fees are up, which means lots of cancels and possibly a higher bonus to entice new people. That being said, if you do sign up now use my referral! https://www.referyourchasecard.com/19/L03Y265BMK

You're kidding right? Double cash gets you a 2% return. CSR is 3x earn and 1.5cpp redemption, bare minimum 4.5% back on travel and dining. An easy redemption is transfer to SW. If you have a companion pass (pretty easy to get), points are effectively worth double. That's 9-10% back. Cash cards leave a ton of money on the table... way more than can be justified by the liquidity.
BCG1 - great analysis, much appreciated 👍
Agree. Best long term card right now.
Also partners well with the chase freedom cards. The vanilla freedom will give you 5x rewards points in specific categories every quarter, and the freedom unlimited boosts all spend to 1.5x (instead of 1x for CSR) Having the CSR allows you to earn UR points instead of just cash back (1 cent in value vs 1.5-2.2 cents)
Coming up on renewal and annual fee, and definitely questioning the value of CSR vs. Citi Double Cashback
