Thoughts on how to handle a second offer from a job after verbally accepting another job. Company 1 laid me off months ago and offered me another job on the same group recently. Great work/life balance but significantly lower salary than I was expecting. Company 1 also pushed me to accept or decline knowing I was expecting another offer. Company 2 offered better package but not great work/life balance. I want to bring Company 2 offer back to Company 1 to see if they can match. Any advice welcome

I don't know if anyone can answer this. But how much do most civil engineers make? There are so many conflicting reports about "overpaid consultants" and it's almost impossible to get an actual answer

I have just recently accepted a position as Director of Compliance at a Fin-Tech company here in Naples, FL.. My previous 17 YOE were strictly in the Financial industry. Does anyone know what the average salary is for this position? I have a sinking feeling that I accepted the role too quickly without comparing salaries. The position only pays $50k/year. That seems low to me.

Hey guys! Currently in WM ops at Morgan Stanley for the past 1 year dealing with alternative lending, I’m super underpaid with 3 years of experience which is very frustrating. (73k). Have been at Morgan for 1 year and looking to come over to JPM for an ideal pay bump, but would like to get into IB type roll. Any insight on what I should expect or how to go about applying? Maybe even getting referred? I have a deep knowledge of investments and always felt inclined to go down this route.

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…
