The only thing worse than a politician who doesn't keep his promises is one who does. Read Project 2025. Despite what Trump is saying now, his fingerprints are all over that crock of crap. When Adolph Hitler took over Germany and launched the Holocaust, people could not say they were taken by surprise. Hitler spelled out his plans in 1925 in Mein Kampf. Read Trump's "Mein Kampf," and if that's the kind of country you want to live in, then vote for "der fuhrer." If you think you'd like to continue living in the most free nation the world has ever known, vote for the other guy.
It is not real. Do your own research and the truth shall set you free.
Whether you are for or against the ideas created and shared in Project 2025, their links to President Trump are very real. You have only to look at the individuals involved to understand. A very high proportion are current or former members of the Trump campaign machine and/or administration. And no matter your beliefs, when someone tells you who they are you should believe them.
There's a good chance that most of the claptrap will never come to pass. But there's also a chance that enough of it will, and it will cause real damage to the US, and consequently the world. If people like Stephen Miller get close to the levers of power, we will be in a dark place. I think a lot of the commentary may be overblown, but there's no denying that the far right wants to change the US into some barely recognizable. I mean, if your model is Orban in Hungary, that's pretty ominous.
It’s absolutely a real risk. They have been implementing it in terrible places like Florida and Texas. SCOTUS is helping the bad guys out with its decisions that are anti-choice, pro gun, and permitting the destruction of well establish regulatory agencies. If you want our country to look like Florida, Texas, or Louisiana, which the latter is essentially a penal colony ignore project 2025 at your own peril.
It’s a think tank policy paper (I’d really say a book-it has like 30 chapters and hundreds of pages). This is what think tanks do.
From the little reading I’ve done on it, most of it deals with proposals on how to reshape the federal government bureaucracy.
Politicians using it to fear monger are counting on their constituents never reading Project 2025. Highly doubtful that the average voter is going to care about proposals on how to reform the Federal Trade Commission.
In short, it’s about as credulous a risk as Joe Biden’s claim that a liberal like Mitt Romney was going to revive the institution of slavery.
