Hi Everyone !!!
This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.
I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?
Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

MUFG is winning more and more lead left roles but it's the exception not the norm. The only groups there that do anything are corporate banking and project finance. Their IB team is a joke. It's a toxic culture with below street comp and a ridiculous Japanese culture of filling out forms for everything. Don't work there.
Don’t work for a Japanese bank the culture of red tape is comical. Also, if you aren’t Japanese you’ll be playing from behind
@hsbc which department are you looking at?
And, so many misconceptions in this thread - i can speak on both sides because i used to work for 2/3 of GS/JPM/MS and now work for a Japanese bank. Culture is very American with Japanese influence
Analyst1 pay -85k
Bonuses 30-?? depending on group*
Culture: Japense influenced but clear American leadership. yes lots of red tape but an effort is being made to further streamline.
Also there is a growing capital markets presence
**Currently in IBD**
Lol really. It’s not even close to a BB
MUFG is close-ish
They pay the highest on the street in some groups and probably comparable to BB in other groups
Well American banks like MS don’t call me back :/
Curious on why switch from gs/ etc?
@seniorassociate what area are you in?
Just like any other bank, MUFG has its pros and cons MUFG owns 23% of MS due to the financial crisis so we have access to their equity research. I work on the corporate side and feel I get well compensated ($85/$20) for the amount of work I do (no weekends, few late nights). I will say the Japanese influence does limit the bank on what kind of deals / risk appetite it is willing to do. DCM on the IG side has done very well, but not so much on the HY side although it’s a good team
Starting at MUFG for a 1st year IBD analyst (Not sure which group) is $90k. Not sure what bonuses look like, but def lower than BB because of deal flow.
I need numbers guys please elaborate
