Thoughts on Troutman Pepper? Culture, hours, associate development and training?

To add a little more color... culture is relaxed despite the fast-paced environment. Partners
are respectful, good-natured, approachable. My partner has my back and is always willing to drop what he’s doing to answer a question I might have. The hours are many. I always have more work than I know what to do with. But they are great cases/deals with high stakes and I have a lot of autonomy which allows for rapid skills development. The Pepper Hamilton folks seem to have the same culture as Troutman, so the post-merger personnel integration was smooth from my vantage point. It’s a great outfit and I suspect a rarity in BigLaw.

I had a baby almost a year ago. I should start a 529 account for my child but I am originally from France which also makes her a French citizen and she could easily go to college in France for not much money. It’s pretty much free there, I have 0 Student loan debt. With that in mind, a 529 would not be super helpful if we go that route. Should I consider other options? Do you have suggestions? Thanks so much!

People who don’t submit their time daily, how do you remember what you did and for how long? Mid 2020, I turned down an opportunity to jump ship from my small law firm to a big law firm. At the time I had 4 years of practice under my belt with managerial experience. What avenues do I have, if any, to jump into big law from a small firm?
