Countertop up the wall looks amazing, and it’s how all the high end renovations are going these days
You know how you can tell if someone is rich based on whether their couch touches the wall or not? Same thing with countertops going up the wall
If it’s a small area, continue the quartz. Edit : it’s also tons easier to clean because no grout
I usually see tile in most places but not sure if there is a reason for it. Or maybe it’s just cheaper idk
Tile is cheaper and can be done by a non-expert. You screw up tile you get another $3-$10 piece. You screw up quartz and you are in for several hundred or more.
I prefer the look of the quartz continued up the wall. It’s in style right now if that matters to you

Could also ask in the home design bowl.
Traditionally I’d say keep the quartz going up the wall, but i love the recent trend of zellige tile. It’s probably not much, if any cheaper, but I love the artisan tile look and feel like I see it in tons of high end homes in my neighborhood.
