If you are thinking of starting a law practice or growing one with little or no capital, you need to get the book, “Starting & Growing a Law Practice without Breaking the Bank.
It was written based on personal experience and research. I started my practice 11 years ago in the middle of the 2008/2009 recession with about $500 and I have grown the practice significantly over the years using affordable and available resources.
I also coach solo practitioners and small firm attorneys. https://www.amazon.com/Starting-Growing-Practice-Without-Breaking/dp/1099523303

Could any of you fellow European fishies shed some light on the validity of this assumption? Sharing experiences would be highly appreciated.

The first thing to is to ask what the salary range is for the position. Assume that the topmost part of the range would be for someone with a lot of experience, and place yourself somewhere within the range. Your experience is valuable, so don't be shy about showcasing it.

I appreciate it.
One thing to keep in mind is at some point years of experience is irrelevant unless you are moving up along the way and taking on increased responsibility.

I’ll have to think about that. Thanks!
Is there any salary brackets available online for this company? You can approach these discussions with the recruiter
Coach
Possibly. But I’m not sure how I’d apply my “worth” towards it.
Titles can be less relevant than experience and capabilities - the thing I've learned in HR is "HR Coordinator" can be a true coordinator, or they might be a Generalist or Business Partner - just without the title. Don't get fixated on that.
Focus on how you fit the job description, your transferable and tangible skills, major accomplishments in your 10+ years of experience and why this new role would an exciting opportunity to face new challenges and stretch your learning.
As other suggested, I would ask them for a salary range - but also use tools from companies like Mercer, Payscale, Robert Half who do annual salary surveys. These are role/title, city and industry specific often and can help info the $ amount you should be asking for. Or if you know a recruiter - reach out to them and see what they're finding in the market for similar roles.
Either way, focus on transferable and tangible skills, areas where it's a stretch that excited you, how you bring value; and that should inform what you can ask for dollar-wise. Based on this, I'd go for the top end of the range - they'll set you straight if you're asking too much, and they want you.
Good look, go crush the interview!! 💪

Thanks so much! I’ll check out the tools you suggested!
I would see if there is anyone else in the role that you could potentially benchmark years of experience against
