All insurance companies are metrics based performance models. I love working for Farmers. I have worked in both claims and internal strategy and enjoy coming to work every day.

In what department. Massively different depending

like

Farmers. Hands down and I work with someone who left Travelers.

like

Farmers all day great company remote adjuster position I love it

It comes down to preference….. I have worked for we are…. For 11 years. They are metrics based, more now than a few years ago. My claims experience maybe different than someone else’s. Some people do not get the support they need for this type of job. I have watched people who were over worked or stressed leave. I will say bad management can make miserable employees. I have been lucky to have a supportive team and manager. I will admit, it isn’t like that across the board at all. Overall, I like my pay and benefits.

like

Travelers is all about metrics. You are just a robot to be measured. You will be micromanaged down to your potty breaks. Can’t speak for Farmers.

like

Chubb 1 - really? I’m well into 6 figures in claim. Granted, I handle fairly complex files, but still. Equivalent roles at other carriers have much lower amounts listed for pay ranges. And my office has people from multiple other carriers that say similar things.

both sweat shops

like

Farmers also has an automatic 4% 401k contribution and then will match up to an additional 6%. If you put in nothing, you still get 4%. If you put in 6% your total annual contribution is 16%. I haven’t seen that anywhere else.

like

Hartford basically has the same policy for retirement benefits

like

Past employee from Travelers, Run and never look back.

Axa or travelers?

Travelers will likely pay more.
Farmers is still a great company
I’d go with your gut

Farmers

I'm at 46k a year and a top performer. I want 65k soon and ultimately want to be at 80k in the next three years. My family needs it ....

Which companies in Canada are giving remote opportunities in the insurance industry?

I’ve been offered a reporting consultant job for less than 60k and I bring 9+ years of experience to the role. They should be offering more. I don’t want to settle but I don’t want to miss an opportunity to move. Reporting consultants should start at $65k per recruiting sites. Any advice? How can I get HR/recruiters to offer more? TIA
