For restaurants, use the Tablelog (食べログ) app. Tablelog is 10x times better than Yelp - it does not have fake reviews. Any restaurants rated over 3.40 is a really nice one, 3.60 amazing, 3.80 legendary.
However, you must download the app from the Japanese App Store if you’re using iPhone. That said, you need to register a new AppleID and select Japan as your country. And you’d use the app together with Google Translator since it’s only in Japanese. If you ask about the English Tablelog website, ditch that. It really sucks.
A list of dishes is attached below. Again, you must translate it into Japanese to search in Tablelog.
Select area, dish type, lunch/dinner, budget and search. Make sure to check if it’s ok to use credit cards. カード可 means card ok. カード不可 means cash only. Cash is King in Japan. <2000 yen restaurants are usually cash-only.
For activities in Tokyo, it depends on how many days you have. Meiji Jingu, Senso-Ji, Imperial Palace, Tsukiji market, Shibuya crossing, Kabukicho, Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo Skytree, Disneyland, Akihabara, Ginza are some of the top experiences.
